How to Use
After cleansing and toning, apply 2-3 drops to face and gently pat until absorbed. Use morning and evening. Follow with moisturizer and sunscreen (AM).
Key Ingredients
- Niacinamide
- Vitamin B3 — the serum's primary active at a high concentration. Inhibits melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes, which is the actual mechanism behind dark spot fading. Also strengthens the skin barrier by boosting ceramide production.
- Tranexamic Acid
- Amino acid derivative that targets stubborn pigmentation. Blocks plasmin activity, which disrupts the inflammatory cascade that triggers melanin overproduction. Especially effective on melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that niacinamide alone can't fully address.
- 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid
- Stable vitamin C derivative that doesn't oxidize in the bottle. Converts to active ascorbic acid inside the skin. Inhibits tyrosinase — the enzyme that starts melanin production — while also scavenging free radicals that trigger pigmentation.
- Sea Buckthorn Water
- The serum's base — replaces plain water with antioxidant-rich plant water. Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) contains over 190 bioactive compounds including vitamins C, E, carotenoids, and flavonoids. Using it as the base means every layer of the formula carries antioxidant activity.
- Glutathione
- The body's master antioxidant, now applied topically. Converts eumelanin (dark pigment) to pheomelanin (lighter pigment) by interfering with melanin synthesis pathways. Works synergistically with vitamin C — each renewing the other.
- Panthenol
- Provitamin B5 for hydration and barrier support. Converts to pantothenic acid in the skin, accelerating lipid barrier repair and reducing transepidermal water loss. Keeps skin hydrated while the actives do the brightening work.
- Ceramide NP
- Skin-identical lipid for barrier reinforcement. Makes up ~50% of the stratum corneum lipid matrix. Ensures the brightening actives don't compromise barrier integrity — a common issue with high-potency brightening serums.
