- Vita Niacinamide Dark Spot Serum — Triple brightening with niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and stable vitamin C — built on a sea buckthorn water base that targets dark spots without irritation.
Notable Ingredients
- Niacinamide — Inhibits melanosome transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes, which is the actual mechanism behind dark spot fading. Also strengthens the skin barrier by boosting ceramide production.
- Tranexamic Acid — Blocks plasmin activity, which disrupts the inflammatory cascade that triggers melanin overproduction. Especially effective on melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that niacinamide alone can't fully address.
- 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid — Converts to active ascorbic acid inside the skin. Inhibits tyrosinase — the enzyme that starts melanin production — while also scavenging free radicals that trigger pigmentation.
- Sea Buckthorn Water — Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) contains over 190 bioactive compounds including vitamins C, E, carotenoids, and flavonoids. Using it as the base means every layer of the formula carries antioxidant activity.
- Glutathione — Converts eumelanin (dark pigment) to pheomelanin (lighter pigment) by interfering with melanin synthesis pathways. Works synergistically with vitamin C — each regenerates the other.
- Panthenol — Converts to pantothenic acid in the skin, accelerating lipid barrier repair and reducing transepidermal water loss. Keeps skin hydrated while the actives do the brightening work.
